- Subject: [IML] AMIGA: Map Master and Surface Master...Anyone using them?
-
- Hello All:
-
- Just a question. Among the add-ons I have purchased for Imagine are
- Essence (I and II), FORGE, Terrain, Surface Master and Map Master.
-
- I have seen several references to all of these on the IML but the
- last two. Does anyone out there use these at all? Are they still
- maintained? Would they not be of interest to IFW users, assuming
- that the data were made compatible with IFW (e.g. IFF converted to
- TARGA or TIFF for Map Master)?
-
- Food for thought.

-
- Surface Master demonstrated various attribute settings for the textures
- available in Imagine up to version 2.0, like wood becoming Walnut, Oak,
- etc.
-
- Map Master used a set of image maps to show how they could be used in
- various combinations like Filter + Bump, and so on.
-
- Each included a "Director" projector program that created an interactive
- reference to help you pick what attribute or map combo you were interested
- in.
-
- I'm pretty sure that the Surface Master settings ended up in the "Alien"
- attribute sets on Aminet. The maps were of various organic scanned images
- in 640 x 400 ADPro enhanced iff format, like pinecone and pebbles.
